Pilates might help you out. Exercising isn't the only way you can lose weight though. When I started training for a competition at altitude, someone recommended that I drink twice as much water as I normally do because altitude is all about water loss...well I did and noticed that I started losing weight and I wasn't even doing anything different in my routine...just skating hard core every day and just drinking a lot more water. Also, if you start working out to lose weight and do weight training and core work, you might not notice you're losing weight but you're toning and gaining muscle and losing inches.

You should be doing any kind of exercises. But for me, I started doing yoga everyday. It helps you with balance, strength and flexibility. Not to mention helps you learn how to stay calm. But if you do yoga dont forget to do cardio on the side.

Try gymnastics exercises like pike stretch where you put your legs in a straight pike and try to put your nose on them! Also try putting your legs out to the side and trying to get your nose on the floor again!

ask your coach or other skaters at the rink. your coach may help you with that by showing you some off ice exercises that may help with your skating. my friend's coach held classes at her house every alternate week to strengthen their muscles.

if you can, go for runs as well. you need stamina to keep up with practices adn make full use of them.

you cant go wrong with doing some simple gymnastics exercises. it'll be good to take up some dance classes, so you'll be more aware of your body posture.

before you eat enything, ask yourself, am i hungry? is this a whim or do i really need it? less soda, more water!

sometimes subtle things cut back your weight too. but of course, all these take time to show results. persevere!

stay happy, laugh more! that has got to the be truest medicine.
