If you mean aggressive blading, the best makes are USD, Valo and Razors. IF you mean for recreational purposes i believe Rollerblade are a trusted and reliable brand.

Inline skates are used for severe functions. They tend to have smaller wheels for grinding rails (rail would get caught in core of two greater wheels, this is the reason) and they are developed otherwise than ordinary curler blades. Curler blade's have higher wheels on them. Used for typical strolls round locations you don't consider like running or strolling. Or in case your a curler hockey person, curler hockey blades are inclined to even have larger wheels.

FYI: Rollerblade IS a brand. Your heading is right, you are looking for good brands of inline skates.
I took a look at SportCheck's site (http://www.sportchek.ca/family/index.jsp?categoryId=4346644) and most of their rec/fitness skates are K2 and Rollerblade which are both very good brands. Their hockey skates are all good brands. They don't carry any aggressive skates.
The Firefly skates would be a lower level brand.
