aww thats so fun what youre doing! but dont worry heres the low down:
- 1st you are gonna need to register at the skaters registration desk and if you have music register that to (this will tell people you are around) (these people will also tell you where to go as far as dressing rooms, when you skate, and if the event is running ahead of schedule)
- Next you are going to want to go to your dressing room and get ready (ex. makeup, dress, etc.)
- When it comes closer to your skate time, someone will come into the dressing room to check that you are still around (you can get more what to do info from this person as for when do you go on for warm up what number you skate, etc.)
- Next you are going to be announced onto the ice for warm up and everyone will skate around once or twice then being their mini practice
- Then the annoucer will call everyone off the ice and then everyone will begin their routines (in the order given)
- When its your turn, go out smile for the crowd and do your thing (people will most likely clap for you here)..
- When youre done everyone will clap and you should curtsee then you will skate off the ice
- Now you can either watch the remaining skaters or you can go back into the change room and get undressed and take off your skates and such
- Now you will have to wait around for your marks and see how you did!
- Once you get your marks you will either leave because you havent received a medal, stick around to support those getting medals, go to the medal ceremony because youre in it (!!), or go where directed to get your ribbon
- Now that thats done, you can pick up your music (if you had it) and leave
- Also...dont forget to try to arrive at least an hour earlier than your scheduled event time (in case the competition is running ahead)
- And try to do some off ice warming up (ex. skipping, stretching) to get your muscles all ready for when you get on the ice
Good luck and have fun!
